Hello!… I’m Jeffery Logan
I currently work in the affiliate marketing niche, where I promote other people products and receive commissions when someone purchases the product that I’m promoting.
Just wanted to share a little of my story with you… I started out working online about 10 years ago. And yes, looking back I now can tell you that I wasted a lot of my valuable time and spent a lot of my hard earn money on courses and products that didn’t work and really didn’t teach me anything.
Most of the information that I was obtaining was pretty much rehashed, out-of-date with shady schemes and spammer methods, but when you are new or a newbie trying to get establish online or trying to make money online you can fall for so much of the crappy information and waste a lot of your valuable time and spend all of your hard-earned money on products and courses that don’t work.
Also, I was caught up in a lot of information overload where I had signed up for so many programs and courses and had at least 25 or more emails coming in every day where I had opted in to so many email list.
I had to learn that there is no getting rich quick overnight on the Internet. I also had to learn to stop chasing shiny objects thinking they were going to help me get rich quick or help me make lot of money online in a short period of time.
Another hard lesson I had to learn on my own was how to filter out the so-called guru’s that was telling everyone if you bought their products and services and follow their instructions you could make thousands of dollars or even millions of dollars in a set amount of time.
About five years ago, I actually settle down and stop chasing after someone else’s dreams, and started investing my time and hard earn money into my own future and my own dreams.
I decided to get into the affiliate marketing business on the Internet. I think that affiliate marketing is one of the easiest and fastest ways to make money online.
Affiliate marketing is basically when you promote someone else’s products.
So, I started building affiliate review websites. I’m not a web developer or website designer. I learn how to build websites on my own. It took me a while to finally figure it out but after a few months I figured it out.
I join the Amazon Associates program. This is where Amazon will allow you to promote their products to people online. I started building websites and promoting Amazon products.
I would start off doing some keyword research for products that people was searching for. I was always searching for products that had a medium to high search volume with very low competition. Meaning very few people was promoting this product.
After keyword research I would write a review about the product that I was promoting and post the review on the website that I had built for the product or products.
At first I did all of my writing for the products. When I had extra money I also would outsource some of the writing for the product.
Building a website can be time-consuming and it does cost a small amount of money to get up and running. First you have to find a hosting company to host the website and then you have to purchase a domain name for the website.
Although, I really enjoy building affiliate review websites and I will probably continue to do that in the future. But there is some disadvantage to building review websites.
The disadvantages of building affiliate review websites is: the amount of time that it takes to get a website up and running and if you’re not buying traffic to your website and you waiting for free or organic traffic this really could take long periods of time to get people to your website.
Most times when building a new website and waiting on Google to index and send traffic to your website can take up to 3,6, 9 or 12 months for this to happen. This is a long period of time to see some return of investment (ROI).
So this is why I have changed from the current system of building affiliate websites to the current affiliate marketing system that I’m using today…
Through all of my ups and downs of trying to start a business online and filtering out all of the good and bad people and scams that were apart of doing business online.
I must say that everyone that’s working online is not always trying to scam you out of your money.
During my years of working online I have come across some good people who are actually trying to help others as they start their online business.
There are still a lot of good Internet marketers that’s making a lot of money online, but also as well they are willing to help others get established.
I have followed some of them for the last past 10 years and have found that they are genuine and they are willing to help you get started online. I will share with you some of these people at a later date if you are interested.
So this is a part of my story and I hope that it lets you know a little bit about me.
